In short - go to the Jersey Shore University MEDICAL CENTER across the street - ie - the hospital - and get your tests done. The reports are posted to their patient web portal within 24 hours of the test being done.
From the minute I check in and through to end of my mammogram, everyone was very friendly and made me feel relaxed.
My MD also asked that I get a disk with the scans. It took 1.5 hours after my scan was complete for the disk. That seems entirely unreasonable.
There are other places and if I had the strength to gather all my disks and reports from them I would find another facility, although I don't know if any of them are any good
I had a test done on a Monday. The report was sent to the requesting MD, but was not made available to me. I called on Thursday and asked the records person why the report wasn't on my patient web portal - and was told "Policy - the reports aren't given to patients for 5 days.."
Use the hospital walk-in diagnostics across the street. MUCH quicker, nicer and the records will be available to any MD you authorize.
Front desk people are nasty and horrible to deal with. Only reason I continue to go here is that they are close to my home.
It often takes a long time or not at all for my doctors to receive the reports.
A pleasure to deal with. Everyone is really nice and patiently explains everything. Once I had to change an appointment twice -- no problem.
Front desk woman Miranda was a nasty piece of work
